WTH!?!?! This is new to me grrrrr

Seriously a gain this week, it makes me want to cry! Not even a small one, I gained 3.2 pounds. I have no idea why, I did have a few things that when she first said you gained I thought back to the steak and shrimp New Years dinner, the 3 drinks I had that night. I thought back to the anniversary dinner, knowing pasta is not always the best but all just ate one piece of bread, and ordered the marinera with mushroom sause on my pasta, and 2 glasses of wine. I thought back to the entire bag of tootsie rolls I ate, I did track those too. I thought of my 3 required workouts I did and that was all. I usually throw a couple more in but didn't this week.

Okay so a gain, I figured sure this wasn't the most perfect of weeks, so give it to me what is the damage....I was UP 3.2 pounds WTH!?!?! I seriously wanted to cry, sure this wasn't my best week but I can not figure how ten thousand points snuck into my diet this week.

I have been doing this for 22 weeks now and lost every single week, no one gain ever, and then BAM! this week hit me like a load of bricks. Please blogland can you please tell me what might have caused such a large gain. This is new and uncharted territory for me and I do not like it one bit!

gaining sucks, especially since you did track everything you ate this week BUT it is very possible that you're body is building muscle! just because you gained doesn't necessarily mean that you gained 3 pounds of fat- it may also just be a plateau, don't let it get you down!! you've come too far to let a little blip stop you now!! keep your chin up and get 'em next week!

I agree with the above. It could be some water retention as well. Do not let it get you down! You have done so well and as long as you keep doing what you have been doing it will work itself out. Try drinking some extra water this week.

I think as you get closer to your goal, you're going to have a few more ups and downs as your body adjusts. Don't let this get you down - just keep eating well and moving, and you'll go back down...you'll probably have a crazy loss next week!

One gain in 22 weeks is awesome!!! Think about all the amazing losses, not the one gain! Anything could have affected you.. compare this weeks journal to a week when you had a great loss and see what the differences were, maybe you had more fruit or veggies, maybe more sodium, it could have been anything!

Don't worry, weight that comes on quickly disappears quickly as well.
